  • A new MSI file was issued today that includes MSCOMM32.OCX, this file is not present on everyone's system. It is now included in the distribution. This fixes a bug where the phone never dials and then DialIdol crashes when you click the Cancel button. No code has changed so the version stays the same.

  • DialIdol v1.2.0.0 released. It's beta. The following is new in this version.

  • Now uses the NETComm.ocx file for modem access. The biggest reason is because this version is free.Check out the author's site here.

  • The call timeout is no longer based exclusively on then length of time if took to detect the last busy signal. DialIdol now calculates the average length of time it has taken to detect each busy signal and then adds three seconds to that time to determine the timeout. The timeout remains configurable for those with modems unable to detect busy signals.

  • Several links to this web site exist in the program.

  • This web site will accept data after midnight until 5am EST the day after the show airs.
