I listened to the streaming and I gotta say...not really likin' it. And, his song, For Your Entertainment, has a beat that reminds me of someone else's song, a female artist.

All a matter of taste really, but if you want to listen to just a few I'd choose his single For Your Entertainment, Sure Fire Winners, and Sleepwalker. Those are the best I think.

The album gives me a bit of headache listening to it, everything is just a bit too much, especially the relentless pounding beat. Would be much better if they tone it down a bit. The production is a bit off I think.

Initial impression of the other songs -

1. Music Again - Shades of The Sweet, Queen and half a dozen bands of the 70s and 80s (although it's bugging me which 70s song the falsetto bit reminds me of, very annoying when I can't quite place it), just not as good
3. Whataya Want from Me - OK song.
4. Strut - OK, but oh the heavy beat.
5. Soaked - the Muse song, sounds like it should be in Muse's The Resistance album, but probably more interesting to listen to their United States of Eurasia.
7. A Loaded Smile - Has a bit of feel of Air (the French electronica band), but if only Adam did it more like their slower songs, would be much better.
8. If I Had You - don't like it.
9. Pick U Up - don't like it
10.Fever - don't like it.
12.Aftermath - so-so
13.Broken Open - another soft song one that could be improved if done even quieter. At the moment it just sounded tedious.
14.Time for Miracles - Doesn't sound bad as a background music to the film.
16.Master Plan - another so-so one.

You are welcome.

Another song that turned up -

Broken Open - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZSYISenjuM

The Sure Fire Winners above is truncated at the end (but I can't edit it), this is a full one -

Just had another listen to the album, and it sounded a bit better this time, although I still think it's still just a bit too much and needed toning down here and there. Some of the songs sounded better, but still don't like most of those I didn't like on first listen. Overall I'd say it's a good effort, not a bad album at all, but could have been much better with some tweaks here and there.

The song I like most is Sleepwalker. Perhaps it's because the beginning sounds a bit like Moby's Porcelain, one song I really like. The rest of the song is well-constructed, and chorus is really catchy. That song fits Adam very well, it feels right. Very good.

Me thinks If you listen to most any album a few times you will find things that are catchy.

As a former performer what I find to be sad about the kids coming out of American Idol is they sign the papers and their fate is in the hands of producers that are clueless as to who the contestant longed to be when they signed the contract and subsequently earned a following from viewers such as we. They are then trapped within the terms of the contract and many loose the edge they had on the show as they are forced to proceed with a whole different agenda which takes away from what we admired about the artist originally.

Clearly, Cookie has aired the storm far better than the others and Carrie is what she is because she is no longer controlled by these mindless idiots IMHO.

The album is now available on sale. Not sure if I'm getting this album yet, will wait and see. Not the album itself (it's fine, better than most Idol album), but it might be the stupid album cover that's stopping me, don't really want something that looks so cheesy on my CD collection.

They seem to want to change the single to Whataya Want From Me, which is a bit strange, but it might be because For Your Entertainment is not doing well on radio. Whataya Want From Me is certainly catchy, only heard it twice and I have the chorus going round in my head, but I'm luke warm about the song.

One thing I just realised what bothers me about Adam, why I wanted his softer songs (like A Loaded Smile and Broken Open) even softer - it's his voice, it's just a little too piercing. It's perfectly fine for some songs, but annoying in others, and in softer songs it's just doesn't sound soft. I'm not sure if there is much he can do to soften his voice.

Another song from the album, a bonus tracks -

Adam Lambert - Down the Rabbit Hole
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4gaYCWq45E

I think there might be a couple more bonus tracks - Voodoo written by Sam Sparro is one, can't remember what the other one might be.

Just listened to clips on iTunes. There wasn't one song that made me want to spend $1.29.

Pity. I was looking forward to it. Adam's performances on Idol showed some sophistication, intelligence, and creativity. This album is so ordinary.
